Notebook Lined Tee | Say Yes! To Hoboken
Well Summer holidays are almost over (well, here anyway!) so I thought there might be some folks out there who would like to make this for a little one who will be going back or even starting. My niece starts school this year - yikes! I feel so old. In fact, I would probably wear this tshirt too. You could even write something on the shirt. Cute!
DIY egg carton ring holder. This is a cute idea for a ring display / holder. See more on Dollar Store Crafts here.
DIY Inspiration. Screen print/paint/embroider constellations on dark blue cushions. Use glow-in-the-dark paint. From the UFO Tree House in the Treehotel group in Sweden here. *TIP: For a list of constellations alphabetically and by month go here, then click on the link or google the name to find out how it looks.
DIY Meditation Jar (Recipe with glue on LEFT, recipe with glycerin on LOWER RIGHT, Keep Calm from here). Great gift - put a great label on it like,“Keep Calm and Sparkle” or “Keep Calm and Glitter On” for a stressed out person (children or grownups). Saw something almost identical on Tumblr and reblogged it here but wanted to know where it came from. The idea came from Still Life with Circles here for use with children. Her recipe has glycerin (used in all snowglobes) and liquid soap and is more snowglobe-like. Then Here We Are Together here modified the recipe and added glue:
“… mixed 1 tablespoon of pink glitter-glue with about 1 cup of hot water, then added pink food colouring and a tiny tub of glitter.
The glue makes the water so thick and gooey that the glitter just slowly and gently swirls around, it takes about 5 minutes for all the glitter to settle, perfect to gather your thoughts!”
Ombre Tee | A Pair & A Spare
Every time I go to a craft store I go past the dyes but I always think - what am I going to do with it? So I never buy it. But I really love this top (ombre!) so I think that I’m going to get some purple dye so I can recreate this Bec & Bridge inspired tee as A Pair & A Spare has. It’s perfect for Summer - not white (a disaster colour for me) but still light and pretty.
DIY Mini Piñatas! When I lived in Germany for a few years I made full size ones using paper mache over balloons and then crepe paper. Why? Because there were no Piñatas in Germany! These little ones are so simple to make and would be original party favors - and no paper mache mess. Tutorial from Oh Happy Day here.
